Call to Artists: Traffic Signal Cabinets Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Santa Cruz PRIDE Parade
Santa Cruz City Arts has partnered with Santa Cruz Pride, to invite 10 artists or artist collaborations who have a connection with Santa Cruz County to submit an image to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Santa Cruz Pride and the rich Santa Cruz County LGBTQ+ history for consideration to be displayed on 10 City of Santa Cruz traffic signal cabinets. Attached are the guidelines and criteria for the project.
Ocean Street Gateway Beautification

The City of Santa Cruz is working with RHAA Landscape Architecture to beautify the Ocean Street Gateway to Santa Cruz at Highway 17. The project is expected to include landscape improvements, public art, iconic gateway signage, as well as potential lighting and pedestrian improvements. This work will build upon traffic improvements, repaving, and striping planned by Public Works.

The Santa Cruz Recycled Art Program (SCRAP) will offer 4-7 selected artists 3.5 months of access (May - August) to the waste stream at the City’s Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) which is located at 605 Dimeo Ln, Santa Cruz, CA 95060, in order to make art from gleaned, recycled materials.
Mural Matching Grant
City of Santa CruzAnyone can propose a mural project, including property owners, artists, organizations, neighborhood associations, and government agencies. Ideas for murals will be accepted from anyone, provided they address and meet the criteria laid out in the Mural Matching Grant application.
