April 30th through May 6th is National Small Business Week and we are excited to launch a shop local campaign to encourage local Santa Cruz businesses to spend their money locally throughout the week and all year long. 

We are encouraging businesses to offer discounts and specials throughout the week and we will be celebrating with a fun event at the Food Lounge! 

Each dollar you spend at an independent business returns an average of 3 times more money to your community than spending at a chain and small businesses donate more than twice as much per sales dollar to local non-profits, events, and teams compared to big businesses. When you shop locally you are directly investing in our community and helping to build the diverse economy that makes Santa Cruz so unique!

Join us for "Food Slam" a partnership with the Santa Cruz Food Lounge Night Market for our Small Business Week wrap-up event!

Food Lounge Night Market food vendors will be on hand serving tasty bites and we will be giving out some sweet Small Business Week branded Bagito reuseable shopping bags (limited supply so come early to grab your free swag) and raffle prizes!
