What was your inspiration for this piece?

My inspiration for this piece was Santa Cruz itself. My earliest inspiration was at the school of art known as California Abstract Hard Edge.

What was the process of designing and fabrications like?

Overall the piece was not full of many challenges. It was a fun piece to create and I got to work with very nice and helpful people.

What kind of public art would you like to see more of in Santa Cruz?

I would like to see a variety of public art in Santa Cruz. I believe that it’s always nice to see a good range of styles and perspectives on how people see the world.
