Diversity Center Youth Mural to be placed at the Louden Nelson Community Center
At their June meeting the Arts Commission unanimously approved a mural project developed by local teens that will be placed on the wall/fencing at the corner of Laurel St. and Center St. at the Louden Nelson Community Center. The mural, titled “Unify, Decolonize, Thrive” represents the past, present and future of marginalized groups – with particular focus on the LGBTQIA community.

A SCRAP-inspired collaboration brings a modern edge to a classic guitar
Charles Sutton, retired luthier and Dana Peters, local artist recently collaborated on a baroque-style guitar with a modern twist. The design is a new take on the gilded paper rosettes found in seventeenth-century guitars. You can see the guitar in person this Saturday, May 20th between 3:00p.m.-5:00p.m. at the R. Blitzer Gallery located at 2801 Mission St. in the former Wrigley building.
